Slingshot Tilda

A warm hello to everyone and  I hope you all  had a good easter. This week over at Cheery Lynn Design Challenge the theme is "Back to Nature".  Recently the design team receive a gift of papers and stamps from Magnolia . So I thought I would use the cute little Tilda with her slingshot and the pretty yellow paper with purple butterflies on it for the back to nature theme. I used the Square Scalloped to edge the magnolia paper. I layered the Nautical Wheeler Doily over the base paper and then double framed Tilda with the  Coved Rectange. I used the Victorian Picket Fence in the forground placing some grass from the Grass Border along the bottom. The Darling Daisies made the perfect little flowers growing in front of the fence. A few butterflies from the Mini Dimensional Butterflies along with a couple of bees from the Tiny Things with Wings set went well with the theme. The  leaves in the top corner were the Dimensional Small Leaves #1  With inking the die and then cutting them out the leaves look so real with the veins showing so nicely. Got to love those leaves. Well that is it for today. Please come over and join the challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs. You will have a chance to win a $20.00 store certificate by entering your creation.

Brand New Bicycle

A warm hello to everyone. Today I am sharing with you a easel card I made for the Cheery Lynn "Celebrate" Challenge.  Remembering as a child when you would get a brand new bicycle for your birthday I thought a childs birthday card with a brand new bicycle on it would be a nice choice. I started with some cute cupcake paper  and chose the colors green and blue to match up with that paper making it bright and cheery. I used the  French Flair Scalloped and French Flair Classic to make the kool shape for the card base as well as a background shape for the popped up cupcake and the Little Pink Bicycle. I cut the bicycle in three different colors and then used parts of each color to assemble a bicycle that any child would love to have. I then added some glossy accents to the handlebars. seat and tires. I fussy cut some strawberries from the paper and put them into the basket of the bicycle. I made a daisy  from the Daisy Strip and added some leaves from the Flourish Leaf Strip. I added one of the hearts from the Two of Hearts set and added an embossed verse on top.  I threaded some ribbon through  the Ribbon Eyelet Border and attached it to the base along with the Happy Birthday greeting.

Showers Bring Flowers

Well here it is monday morning again and time to share my spring theme card for the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge. It is called "Showers Bring Flowers" but as I was designing it we had snow showers. But I am positive spring is just around the corner.  I have used the large sunflower doily placed over  the top corner of the card. Layered my flower Seed packet on top of the lg sunflower doily and added some small flowers to the packet from the BAF 2 embellishments. A funky sunflower was added to the top corner with the ever so beautiful leaves from the rose leaf strip. Gotta love these leaves. Balanced the card  off with the  italian flourish tiny doily adding the cutie finge II flower on top. With a couple of mini fanciful flourishes, grass border and a couple of funky dragon flys  from the  tiny things with wings set it was complete. I Hope I have inspired you into coming over to Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge and joining us in this fun spring challenge. You will have a chance to win the $ 20.00 store credit by entering .  You can also visit the Cheery Lynn Designs Inspirational Blog for even more ideas for using these beautiful dies.

Hoppy Easter

Good monday morning to everyone. Nice to see you here. With easter just around the corner Cheery Lynn Designs  is doing a easter theme for their challenge this week. I decided to do a 12x12 easter title page layout.  This page was so enjoyable to do with the awesome dies I had to work with and of course with the cute little bunnies tucked into the layout. I found some beautiful easter paper, then using the plaid pattern for the background and the easter egg paper for the center of the page. I use the Chicken Wire die as a stencil to add some different pattern to two of the corners. I also used a piece of the Chicken Wire in the center but keeping it very light so it kind of blends in a bit. I fussy cut two eggs out of the scraps of paper and popped them up on top of the eggs on the paper.  I then used the Expandable Tiny Borders to decorate the eggs for added texture. I stamped , colored and popped my bunnies up and tucked them into their spot adding the  Grass Border to ground them. The Mesh Border was perfect along the bottom. Love that it is a 8 in long die. Used the Ribbon Eyelet Border with two sizes of ribbon threaded through it and added it on top of the Mesh Border. Made a flower with a couple of leaves from the BAF #3 and put the Mini Flourish One behind it at the bottom. The Ankara Lace Doily was perfect for the top corner, adding the tiger lily made from the newest BAF #3. With  a few leaves behind it along with the Fanciful Flourish it finished that top corner off nicely. The leaves were from the Rose Leaf Strip.  The center of both flowers were from BAF #3 Embellishments. I cut three different colors of the new Chasing Rainbows Doily and layered them along the right side. They layer so beautifully together. Last I made a Hoppy Easter tag. I used one of the Lace Corner Deco D on the back corner then folded it over so it shows on the front corner. Again using the Expandable Tiny Borders I added the tiny heart border around the edge of the tag. All these dies I used  work so well for scrapbooking  and do step your pages up a notch. Well that is it for this week.

Always and Forever

Hope everyone is having a nice day and enjoying the inspiration. The Theme over at Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge Blog this week is Doilies. I love working with Cheery Lynn Designs doilies as they are so intricate, they have such a wide variety of different patterned doilies and different sizes as well. Today I would like to share with you my card using some of these Doilies.  I used this pretty rose paper that I thought would go great with the Cheery Lynn Designs. I started with the Polynesian Sails Oval which I  really like the  shape of. I then  attached the angel wing behind it. I cut out the center of the Polynesian Sails Angel Wing as I wanted the rose to show through  the opening. I then took the Italian Flourish Doily and gathered it up for some extra dimension and added one of the Expandable Borders to nicely finish off  the edge of the  doily. The Olive Branches were added as they are always a great filler. I used the matching Tiny Italian Flourish Doily behind my flower. The corners and the flower were cut from the Lace Corner Deco D set. The Faerie Butterfly from the Tiny Things with Wings Set was one of the final touches as I love the lacy look of it.  A few pearls were added to complete this card. Wow these doilies are awesome to work with. Come visit and join the fun at Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge Blog and enter your creation.  It's a great way to get a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.

Birthday Card

I made this birthday card using a Cheery Lynn Flower and Leaf Flourish. The tree frame, bird cage and bird is Memorybox. The ribbon banner is spellbinders.

Pine Grosbeak by the Chicken Wire

I have great news to share today. I have been invited to join the Cheery Lynn Design Team. Of course I accepted as I am addicted to and love creating with the Cheery Lynn Designs. I am so excited . It also gives me an opportunity to work with all the  talented ladies on the Cheery Lynns design team.
So here is my first creation as a Design Team Member for  Cheery Lynn Designs  where the theme this week on the Cheery Lynn Challenge Blog is "Flowers"
I was so taken with the realistic details of the chicken wire that I choose it to work with and created around it. I applied a couple of colors of inka golds to the wire. Of course I had fun making an assortment of flowers following the theme. To me the sunflowers where a good choice to use as my focal point with the chicken wire.  I just kept adding things like flourishes, leaves, and  a garden gate creating lots of layers.  I stamped and colored a bird image with copics and tucked him into the mix. I love birds and hope he looks like a Pine Grosbeak that I tried to make him out to be. Oh and I can't forget to mention the cutest little bees that are from one of the new sets called Tiny Things with Wings.  That set is one of my favorites now and will get used lots and lots.
I hope I have inspired you and  hope all you creative people out there will visit our Cheery Lynn Challenge Blog and enter your creations for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree at Cheery Lynn Designs.

Lacey Oval Card

This is a card I created for the Cheery Lynn Shaped Card Challenge. I started with the largest oval doily stacker then put a pink background behind it. I used the polynesian sail oval for the frame. I added three different flowers all made with a pattern paper and Judy's blooms die. The small flowers are from the BAF #2. Added the dragon fly and some mini fanciful flourishes along with the anastasia border. Used Viva Inka Golds to all the elements giving them all a soft shimmmery look.

Cherish Frame

This is a creation I entered into Cheery Lynn "Frame It Challenge". I started with a frame and altered so it is a frame with in a frame. The dies used are all Cheery Lynn Designs except for the bird with is a Poppy Stamps die.I started with the dainty dutch deco doily and made a frame around the glass opening by turning two of them sideways and splicing them to made it work with the opening size. I ruffled the edge abit and turned the two corners over and added a pearl.I used part of the large sunflower doily for the top corner popping it up abit and added some bling flourishes to it. Put a rounded bird cage at the side with a bird from Poppy Stamps die. I then made some roses and babys breath from the BAF sets. Just bought these sets and love them. Also I sprayed the roses with Goosebumps so they look like porcelian roses now. Also added a butterfly to the corner of the doily frame and abit more babys breath under the bird. Added a bit more flourish bling to the bottom corner. I really do enjoy the altered art.

Vintage Card

This is a card I created for Cheery Lynn Designs "Add a Flourish" challenge and for Joan's Garden "Vintage" challenge" I started by using a Marianne Design embossing folder on the background to emboss and cut along the edges. I use a spellbinders die for the oval shape and their ribbon banner. I added some flowers using the Cheery Lynn Sweet Williams and the Cherry Blossom. Added Cheery Lynns fanciful flouish, rose leaves, olive branches and then had fun placing some of the new Tiny Things from Cheery Lynn as well. I cut a shadow for the small butterfly and added a dragom fly and the oh so cute little hummingbird. These "Little Things" dies are just priceless.
