Christmas Angels

A warm hello to you.  Sometimes we just need a quick card so today I want to share  a simple and quick card using only two dies.

I have used a pretty Christmas paper for the background and matted the angels with the verse from another patterned paper.

Next I layered the beautifully shaped and detailed Holly Leaf  cut from a pattern paper.

From the Christmas Bell set I layered the branches , the bow and holly berries. I have put some glitter on the branches and used glossy accents on the berries. So if you are ever limited to time to get a card created quickly you can do something quick and simple like this one and still give a homemade card created with love.

Thanks so much for joining me today. I hope you have time to join the bi-weekly challenge
@ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. I always enjoys seeing  all the  projects that get entered there. Have a wonderful day.

Christmas Mini Album

Hello to all. Today I an designing a Christmas mini album for the themed week of Christmas projects over at Cheery Lynn Designs. I am showcasing two of the new Gift Envelopes that were released not long ago. They are the Merry Christmas and Winter Fun sets and have the cutest tiny festive dies for making mini albums.

I  use the Mini Book Hearts and Ribbons  , the Gift Envelopes and Page Tabs to create the cutest little mini album. I made a hidden hinge binding to attach all the envelopes to thus creating a few pages for my album. . You can see the Mini Book Hearts and Ribbons  binding I have used along the edge  of the book.

This is the inside cover and page one. I have cut the top flaps off the envelopes so I could insert a stitched page to put a photo on both sides of .  The page inserts are cut from the Square Stitch and Cut tool .  I have staggered little tabs to the envelope edges  using the Page Tabs  .

I have also put a photo matt on the back of each envelope for adding a photo. The dies used on the right are from the Merry Christmas Gift Envelope

The tiny die cuts I have used here are from the Winter Fun Gift Envelope . They work great for Christmas projects as well.

This is the last page.

Here is the back cover with a nice view of the binding and tabs. This is the cutest little Christmas mini album that will hold a total of nine photos. It would make the cutest little gift for that someone special.

Thanks so much for joining me today and I hope I have inspired you to get a few Christmas projects done ahead so you are not rushing at the last minute.

Happy Halloween Layout

A warm hello to you . Last time I posted  I said that I would share a Halloween layout this time.  Halloween is always a nice time to do fun layouts and this one was definitely fun with all these new Halloween dies that Cheery Lynn Designs release this year.

This is a 8"x8" page layout. We always play with non traditional colors for some of our Christmas cards and layout so I thought why not non traditional colors for Halloween as well. I really like the way it turned out.

The Happy Halloween  sentiment I did in two layers to give it a shadowed look. I like that the sentiment is all one piece.

This Ultimate Halloween  set has a great variety of dies in it including the  nicely detailed tree as well as the Boo, pumpkin, ghost and even a bat. I have used them all on this page layout except for the bat. I think this tree would make anyone smile.

Now for the Skeleton. This skeleton has got to be one of my all time favorite Halloween dies. Besides what I have used here he also comes with a cowboy styled hat and a  bigger head . There are two different sized bones that you can see in the full sized photo of the layout above. I thought it would be cute to have him holding a pumpkin.

Here is a close up of the ghost with googly eyes and the sentiment BOO. . If you noticed in the full layout photo above I also gave the tree googly eyes. The eyes just really add character to the tree and ghost. In the layout I have used the Pierced Stacker  to place a photo on. Well that is it for this time. I do hope I have inspired you and that you make time to have some halloween fun and play with some of these new dies.

Oct 2 Happy Halloween

A warm hello to you.   I am into Halloween  for the next two weeks so be sure to check back next week to take a peek at the Halloween layout I created. It's pretty cool. I thought I would get a early start to inspire you and give you time to get some Halloween projects created for  yourself.

The dies I have featured on this card were released by CLD not long ago. Next week I will used more Halloween dies from that release. It is always nice to get new Halloween dies released each year.

For this frame I have used here is the Halloween Candy Card Maker . It is a really cool frame with pumpkin suckers and assorted candies. I double layered the pumpkin suckers for added dimension. The coloring was done using copic markers. I wanted to create a fun and bright card for the little ones.

Here is a close up of the frame.

The Happy Halloween is part of the die set Happy Halloween  . The cat is from the Witch's Brew  set. I thought the Happy Halloween would look good in alternate colors and I like how it turned out. Don't forget to check out all the awesome new Halloween dies that were released by CLD not long ago. There is quite a variety to choose from.

I invite you to go to Cheery Lynn Designs bi-weekly challenge  for your chance to win $20.00 in dies. You can enter @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge. You could also be one of the top three picks.

Thanks so much for joining me today. I always have a lot of fun with Halloween projects and hope that you can find some time to relax and play too. Have a wonderful day.
