Cheery Lynn / Prickly Pear Venture Card

A warm hello to everyone. Glad you stopped by. This week Cheery Lynn Designs and Prickley Pear are doing a joint adventure. I would like to send a big Thank You to Prickley Pear for their generous package of stamps and dies that they so kindly gave us .The card above was made using Cheery Lynn Design dies as well as Prickley Pear stamps and dies. It also goes with this weeks  theme "Roses" for the Cheery Lynn Designs  challenge. I started by embossing the card base with Cheery Lynn Designs embossing plate called Diamonds and Starburst. I like that this is a extra big embossing plate. I then brayered some glossy cardstock and embossed a Prickly Pear flower image on it. I use the  Oval Doily Stacker to cut around the image as well as cut a larger one in white for another layer. I traced around the Oval Scalloped Lg Stacker to matt the white doily . The Large Rose, Medium Rose and Minature rose made beautiful roses with the Ivy Corner  Flourish used to add delicate greenery behind the roses. The Dragonfly was created from a stamp and matching die from Prickley Pear. I embossed the Clearly Beautiful Dragonflies in white and then used the matching Dragonfly Die to cut it out. I added some pearls around the white oval doily.
The Lace Corner Deco D corners are so intricate and finished the corners off nicely . Well that is it for this week. Please do check out the Cheery Lynn Challenge and join us by entering one of your creation for a chance to win a $20.00 store credit. Then there is the Cheery Lynn  Inspiration blog to check out as well for more ideas. Also visit Prickely Pear as they have some awesome images and dies to match. Rusty Old Train

Good monday morning to all. Here is my take on the  "Make It Manly" for the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge.  It is always nice to do a mans card for the special men in our lives. My hubby always appreciates my hand made cards so I enjoy making them for him as well as for my son and grandsons. This is the new Choo Choo  train from the last release. I cut it from a paper that makes it look old and rusty. This train is way too kool and so detailed. I put some mountains in the background and used bakers twine which worked well for the train tracks. The Dimensional Sm Leaves #1 really worked well to embellish the corners. I inked the leaf dies and then cut them out giving them even more detail. Krinkling them a bit really makes them look so real. The Happy Birthday words are such a nice font and are so easy to cut out and appy to a card. Well hope this gives you some ideas for manly cards and that you will be inspired to come on over to Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge and join the fun with a chance to win a $20.00 store certificate. Flourishes and Flowers

Glad to see you back for another week and another challenge.   So here is my creation for this weeks  "Dry Embossing Challenge" over at Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge Blog,  I dry embossed the the base of the card with Diamonds and Starburst . I made the brown  frame with the Celtic Chain Rectangle. The Victorian Romance Flourish was perfect for the two corner. On the bottom corner I used the full flourish and then cut one down in size for the top corner. The beautiful Shasta Daisies with the leaves behind from the BAF #2  went perfectly with the flourish corners. I added  a couple of metal clips at the top of the image with a heart added to them and some ribbon across the center for a touch of color. I curled the top corner over and added a cute little copper dragonfly.  Thats it for this week but do join us in this challenge for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. Also drop by Cheery Lynn Inspiration Blog and see what else the design team has to share with you.

Garden Flowers

A warm welcome to all the Cheery Lynn followers.  I have a circular step card to share with you today.  The theme at Cheery Lynn DesignsChallenge Blog this week is  “Lots Of Layers” and  I thought this step card would be a perfect design for this  challenge.  I wanted to use the new Trellis and new Vase set that just came out with the new releases from Cheery Lynn Designs. So here is what I came up with. My card base was done in white and then covered with this beautiful black paper with bright flowers on it.  I added the Chasing Rainbows a Doily w/ angelwing. I centered the new Felicity Tiny Doily on top of it and placed  the new Shasta Daisy  in the center.  Over to the right side of the card  on the back layer I placed the new Trellis and used the Mini Fanciful Flourish Right for vines growing  up it. The tiny flowers from the BAF Embellishment  #2  were added to the vines. They were the perfect size for this trellis. On the front layer I added the Victorian Picket Fence.   I die cut some small daisies and stems to put in the vase from the Darling Daisies. I rounded out the vase and added some liquid pearls along the top edge. I popped  the vase  up and placed it beside the Chasing Rainbows Doily. This card would be perfect for someone who like to garden. Well that is it for today but please do come over to Cheery Lynn Designs and join us in the challenge for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.  Also visit the Cheery Lynn  Inspiration Blog for more ideas by the design team.
