Me & You

Welcome. The challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs this week is " Tickled Pink ". So here is the card I have created for it. I started with a paper that has a castle in the background along with pink and green coloring. I placed the Lilith Doily behind but off to the side of the photo so you can see the pretty design in it. I created some flowers using the Sweet Williams Strip. The Lilith Doily Edger is along the right side to make a fancy edge. The big flower has white dots on it. I used the Tiny Bubbles Border and guesso for the dots on the flower as well as the dots at the top left corner and a few others here and there. These dies make great stencils.  I just cut out the tiny bubbles border and used it as a stencil to do this. I added some of the Flourish Leaf Strip behind the flowers and along the top. I used Inka-Gold on the Lock and Key to make them look like metal. I tucked a heart from the Two of Hearts behind the top of the photo. I used guesso on the new Pretty Pretty Bows. Don't you just love that bow.  The new Hinges were added up the left side. The new hinges are already one of my favorites The sentiment Love was placed at the top. Please stop by

Love Birds

Hello. Nice to see you back again. This weeks challenge theme at Cheery Lynn is "Sweethearts". With the new bird house and water bucket I thought of Love Birds for the sweet heart theme and went with that in mind. The base is the Coved Rectangle Scalloped . I then used some flowered paper and cut it using the Horizon Coved Rectangle Frame. The French Sm Lattice was placed on top of it. I placed the new Classic Birdhouse on one side and used the part of Colonial Lamp Post to create a post to hang the birdhouse on. I cut a few  birds from the Birds of the Earth and Sky to put on the bird house and on the new Sentiment Tag 3. I tucked in one of the corners from the new Fancy Corner Cuts #3 behind the tag. I printed Birds on the tag and then added the sentiment Love above it.  The Watering Can I cut twice in two different colors and interchanged them where needed. The Mini Fanciful Flourish was intertwined around the water bucket handle. I place three flowers from the Minature Rose among the flourish. Well that's it for this week. Please join us in the challenge at http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.

Enjoy Winter Life

Welcome. I am sharing with you today a card I created for the Cheery Lynn challenge. The theme this week is Snowflakes. Look for the new dies I used.  I started the base with the French Flair Scalloped  and the French Flair Classic. I then did a third layer with the Heart French Flair which was embossed with the new Clocks Embossing Plate. I used the new World Atlas but cut the atlas part off and added a snow scene to replace it. The Pine Lace Snowflake was tucked behind it. I printed Enjoy Winter and then cut it out with the new Sentiment Tag 3. The  sentiment "Life" that I added to that is also a new die. I made a snowflower in the bottom corner using the Snowflowers Set Two. I used the parts of Lace Pine Snowflake for the greenery. Another snowflake was tucked behind the sentiment. These new dies are amazing. I invite you to join our challenge at http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/ for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. Watch for my post next week when I will be using more of the newly released dies.

Lighthouse at Sunset

Welcome. Today Cheery Lynn Designs  has released a lot of new wonderful dies for us all to create with. So I have created this card using some of the new dies. I started with the Celtic Chain Rectangle  as my background. When I think of lighthouses I always picture a sunset behind them. So I created a sunset on glossy paper with inks. I stamped clouds near the top. I then placed the new Lighthouse near the bottom. I added  a couple of the new Wagon Wheel along the bottom and added some of the Cattail and Reeds. Some new Barbed Wire was used as a border top and bottom. I then mounted it onto a orange base. I must say these new dies are absolutely amazing. If you want to take a peek at all the new dies that were just released today then go to http://www.cheerylynndesigns.com/ . Our design team has been busy playing and creating projects using the newly released dies so for inspiration check them out at http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/  Have a crafty week.

The Victorian Romance Flourish was placed on the bottom corner with a snowflake from the Snowflowers Set One.
