Birthday Wishes

A warm hello to you today.   So nice to see you visiting.

There are so many beautiful papers out there that I have chosen to go with fewer dies this time and let the paper be some of the pretty design of the card along with the beautiful dies.

Here I used the French Flair Stitch and Cut Tool   to cut out this design and then cut the sentiment from the Birthday Wishes Circle to layer on top of it.

This is cut from the Ribbon Eyelet Border  die. It makes a nice base to thread ribbon through. I added some bling to it as well as bling to the sentiment. This is a nice simple and quick card to make and I think it is so pretty.

I invite you to come join the  Bi Weekly challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs
@ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.  I always enjoy to see all the entries. Have a wonderful day.

If not then head back to the Cheery Lynn Designs blog @  http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/ and start from the beginning so you don't miss any of the wonderful projects  from our design team.  Cheery Lynn Designs will be giving a $20.00 prize to one random commenter on the Cheery Lynn Blog Hop Post.

Now aren't these just the cutest little Mini Gift Envelopes
you have ever  seen. They are 2.5" x 2.5 ".

The first one is done using the Get Well Gift Envelope 9 Piece Die Set B857.
The second one is done using the  Winter Fun Gift Envelope 11 Piece Die Set - B859.
The third one is done using the  Merry Christmas Gift Envelope 14 Piece Die Set - B858

And what about matching the inside of the envelopes up with the front making them even cuter? There are eight different gift envelopes die sets being release which all have the cutest little accessories to go with them.

Above are images of the three die sets I worked with to create these three envelopes. You can see the cute tiny accessories that go with them in these images.

I must say the CLD Mini Gift Envelopes really do make  beautiful envelopes to tuck in whatever you can think of. I am thinking a tea bag in the Get Well one or  maybe a square "After Eight "mint in the Winter Fun and Christmas one. A then just a sweet note would be nice too. Please feel free to make suggestions in the comment that you leave what you think would be nice to put inside the envelopes. It would be nice to share ideas for everyone to use.

Happy New Year 2017

Hello  Glad to see you here.

Today I am going for "Clean and Simple" using one of the new dies sets from the last new release. It is the Happy New Year 4 Piece Die Set .

I started with shiny red foil paper for the base then layer white paper on top. I then cut the Fleur De Lis Boutique Stacker A2 Frame  in black velvet paper and layered the Rectangle Stitch and Cut tool   in white.

I cut the Happy New Year 4 Piece Die Set  again in shiny red foil paper so I could layer them onto the black hats to make the hats pop. The star design from the set was layered to the top right corner and another red hat layered to the bottom left corner. The "2017" was cut using the Delicate Lace Script 2 Piece Die Set .
The frame and sentiment in the black velvet paper looks so nice in person and cuts beautifully from the CLD die.

Thanks so much for joining me today and now I would  like to invite you to join Cheery Lynn Designs Bi Weekly challenge @http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree . I always enjoy seeing all the beautiful entries.

Mr. & Mrs. Snowman

A warn hello to you. Nice to see you here. Christmas is getting closer all the time and with the last new release at Cheery Lynn Designs having some Christmas dies I have decided to create a Mr. & Mrs. Snowman card.

I am featuring two of the new dies sets which were release in July. They are the Build A Snowman 13 Piece Die Set  and the Winter Holiday Word 6 Piece Die Set . I must say the snowmen were so fun to work with. You can really decorate them up cute with all the accessories in the die set.

I wanted to go non traditional colors and thought this plaid paper would work great. I layered the Quatrefoil A2 Frame 2  in the center and then layered the Heart to Heart Doily  on top of it. That made my base to build on.

Here is the Mrs. snowman with her fashionable scarf, mitts and hat from the Build A Snowman  set . I have added a bow to her hat as well as the sentiment "Peace" from the Winter Holiday Word .

And then there is Mr. Snowman also from the Build A Snowman  set. I must say he is also very fashionable and cool with his sunglasses and pipe. The broom is so nicely detailed too. The sentiment "JOY" is also from the Winter Holiday Word  set.

Here they are together as a couple with the Merry Christmas sentiment layered from the Winter Holiday Word  set. This set really does have a nice variety of different sentiments. I added the Judy's Blooms  flower just because it matched the colors so good and I rather like it rather than always using snowflakes on Christmas cards. Last I tucked in pieces of the Dancing Snow Flurries  for filler and more glitter. I hope I have inspired you to get a early start on your Christmas cards. I know I usually leave mine until the last minute then feel rushed.

Please come and join the challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs
@ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge  for your chance to win a $20.00 random draw for a shopping spree.  Have a wonderful day

25th Anniversary

Hi there. Glad to see you here .  There was a die set just release by Cheery Lynn Designs with the Christmas release which I have featured today. It is the Christmas Bell 7 Piece Die Set . I always like to see if I can come up with ideas for using dies aimed for a certain season and make it work for something totally different so it is more versatile. So I took these Christmas bells and used them for this 25th anniversary card.

For this card I used purple and white for my base and then popped and layered the  Historic Barcelona Square Boutique Stackers Frame  onto it. I really think the design in this frame is so elegant for a anniversary card.

Just look at all that beautiful detail in these bells and bow. I cut but didn't pop the pieces out as I wanted more of a embossed look. For another look I could have popped out the pieces and layered another color behind the bells.

Here I have cut the Cherry Blossom Branch Die  in silver to match the bells and 25th and popped it up.

The 25th is cut from the Delicate Lace Script and layered onto the smallest of the Historic Barcelona Square Boutique Stackers Frame . This Delicate Lace Script come with two dies. One with all the upper case letters and the other die with the lower case letters and numbers. These numbers were the perfect style for this anniversary card.

I would like to invite you to join the CLD bi-weekly challenge
@ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 store credit. I always look forward to seeing your creations.

I thank you for visiting my blog today and for the comments you leave. I enjoy hearing what you have to say. Have a wonderful crafty day.

August Blog Hop "Flower Power".

A warm Hello to you today. I hope you are having a wonderful day.

I must say the CLD flowers really do make for a beautiful card that I would be proud to give anyone. For the base of this card I matted the flower patterned paper with black cardstock then popped up the poka dot  paper cut at a angle on top of that. This will let me layer designs behind and in front of that angle piece for added dimension. I layered the  Sweethearts Edger  to the top of the angled piece.  I do want to point out the Whimsical Bird  that I have tucked in the flowers. It is just too cute.

This is the Cheery Lynn Designs August Blog Hop . August blog hop  will be "Flower Power". The CLD design team will be  showcasing a selection of  beautifully detailed flowers designed by Cheery Lynn Designs . If you just came from visiting Bonnie @ "Make Time To Craft"   You are on the right track.

Now I would like to take the time to talk about the flowers I used here. The orange one is the Sunflower. I have used orange paper and cut two then off set them to make a fuller flower. I shaped the pedals with a stylus to give them a nice curve and dimension.

Both yellow flowers are cut from the same Cherry Blossom  die. For the bottom one I inked up around the edges only and spritzed it with water to blend the colors more. I off set the layers after shaping with the stylus.
The top yellow flower I inked in solid yellow then submersed it in water to even out the color and make it so I could get lots of wrinkles and texture with the stylus. I also shaped and assembled it differently so it looks like a different flower. This shows you can get different looks from the same die depending how you shape and assemble them.

These flowers I used are some of CLD older ones and they have newer ones as well. But old or new you just keep using them over and over as they make such beautiful flowers. You can take a peek at them all @https://www.cheerylynndesigns.com/flowers-1/  .  CLD has beautiful fillers for flower arrangements too. I have you two of their newer sets which are Floral Bouquet Kit 8 Piece Die Set  and Fall Leaves 8 Piece Die Set .

Sometimes just a twist of the peddles with tweezers can give you a nice effect. Or maybe wet your flower and place the peddles around a pencil and scrunch it together looks awesome too. I always spritz as they shape nicer that way and help to blend your colors nicely too. Just play around with them and you will get many different looks.

CLD has a tutorial section on their website that has great ideas for creating their beautiful flowers.
Check it out @ https://www.cheerylynndesigns.com/tutorials/

Live Love and Laugh

A warm Hello to you. It's Debbie from Debbie's Time Out hosting the blog today. I am featuring CLD beautiful Gardenia's today.

I have used the Nautical Wheeler Doily  and Lattice Valance Border  for my base. These both make for a elegant card. Especially on the dark background.

For the gardenia's I inked only the centers of the peddles and then spritzed them. The dies I used for them are the Gardenia Strip  and  Small Gardenia .  I shaped them with a stylus and then assembled them. I tucked in a few leaves from the Rose Leaf Strip .

The Live Laugh Love is one of my favorite sentiments. I inked here and there with purple and blue but also leaving some of the white for highlights.

I invite you now to come join the Bi-weekly  challenge

Happy Turkey Day

A warm hello to you. Glad to see you here today .

This is a bendi frame card. I layered the French Lattice Small in the background. I had cut the French Lattice and used as a stencil on the card I posted on July 14th. I saved the French Lattice Frame  and this is my inked French lattice background for this card. I used the Coved Rectangle Classic   and the Coved Rectangle - Scalloped  for the framed opening of the card.

Today I am featuring  three new die sets Cheery Lynn Designs has recently released. They are the Happy Turkey Day 7 Piece Die Set ,the Fall Pumpkin Patch 3 Piece Die Set  and the Fall Leaves 8 Piece Die Set .

Along the top I have layered the beautifully detailed leafy flourishes from the  Fall Pumpkin Patch 3 Piece Die Set . I layer three green leaves from the Fall Leaves 8 Piece Die Set  behind the one of the flourishes. The sentiment "Happy Turkey Day" from the Happy Turkey Day 7 Piece Die Set  was placed in the center of the background.

The turkey from the Happy Turkey Day 7 Piece Die Set  was layer at the front just behind the bendi frame. This turkey is just too cute and it's sign "Eat Beef is just priceless. Small leaves of different colors from these sets were scattered around the card.

These two pumpkins are from the Fall Pumpkin Patch 3 Piece Die Set . I have layered them to the very front of the frame. The grass is the Grass Border  and I did three layers of it in three different colors. Some of the grass was layer behind the frame and some in front of the pumpkins. This bendi frame really give you lots of dimension and lots of separated layers. These three new dies set I used really will make beautiful thanksgiving and fall cards.

Fancy Reindeer

A warm hello to you today. Glad to see you here.

Cheery Lynn Designs has just release some wonderful new Christmas dies. I am featuring this new Fancy Reindeer 7 Piece Die Set  which is one of them . They are so nicely detailed.

My base for this card is a Bendi Fold which really enables you to get a lot of layers and dimension. I layered the Oval - Scalloped LG Stackers Nesting Dies and Polynesian Sails Oval and added it to the top of the card for more shape and background. I embossed all the card pieced  with the Snowflake Flurries  before assembling it.

Here you can see all the detail on the Fancy Reindeer . I layered the Icicles Border along the curved part of the card. The trees are from the Camping Die Set . They make awesome winter/ Christmas trees too. The Happy Winter sentiment is from the new Winter Holiday Word 6 Piece Die Set. I cut up one of the  Dancing Snow Flurries into pieces and layered it here and there.

The reindeer head was layered to the center of the oval piece. And the Snowflake Set 2 where layered together and layered onto the top.

I invite you now to come join our challenge @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for you chance to win a $20.00 store certificate. I would love to see your creations.

For this card I embossed both the flowered paper and the kraft paper with the Birthday Oval Embossing Folder - IOEEF02  .
The one I embossed on the kraft paper I cut just the center out and placed it on top of the flowered paper leaving the embossed dots on the flowered paper showing. I inked up the embossing to make it pop a bit more. With the Black Eyed Susan , Shasta Daisy , Olive Branches and Mini Fanciful Flourish layered onto the card it makes for a beautiful card.
