Poinsettia Step Card

A warm hello to you.  I want to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas Day and that you have the love of family and friends around you today.

Today I have created a card using one of CLD step card dies. I do love the CLD step card dies as they are a easy and quick bases to make. I have use the A2 Fancy Step Card Kit  for the base of this card. The flourish pattern in  this die makes for a elegant card. The Royal Scandinavian Doily Circle  is very elegant too so I layered it onto the center of the base.

I featured the Poinsettia 2 in the center cutting it out of the pow paper which glitters so nicely. From the Deer in the Forest  die I used the leaves and flourish part of it to use as filler around the poinsettia. The pow paper is thick enough that the insides of the leaves don't fall out really easy so it gives a nice look that way too instead of always popping them out.

Another die of CLD that I really like is the Pretty Pretty Bows . You get two different sizes and they make perfect bows. This is the smaller sized bow that I have used here.

Well that is it for today. I am so glad you took the time to stop by . We do have our regular weekly challenge going on as usual so if you have the time and want to share your creation I would love to see it.  The theme this week is "Thank You".
You can join @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for you chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.

I hope all your stockings were filled with CLD dies and that you have as much fun creating with them as I do. Merry Christmas and have a wonderful day.

It's Cold Out

A warm hello to you.   I am glad to see you here today.

Here I have embossed the base with the Snowflake Flurries  and then inked over it with purple ink to make the embossing pop even more. I place the Dancing Doily Lace Border  up each side and a couple of pieces of it on the corners of the framed image.

Here the image was layered onto one of the  Horizon Square Boutique Stacker Frames  . The
Snowflakes were cut from holographic paper which really shows them off.  The Dandelions I cut in white to make them look like tiny frosty flowers and then tucked them behind the frame. This was a simple card to make but is elegant too with the embossing, dancing doily lace border and the shiny snowflakes.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. I invite you now to join our  Cheery Lynn Designs  weekly challenge @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. I do enjoy getting inspired by all who join our challenges.

Have a crafty week

Gingerbread House

Hi Glad to see you here today.  Christmas is getting so close so I want to share another Christmas card with you. I am featuring this new gingerbread house with so many wonderful detail and accessories like the icicle roof and chimney tops as well as the lollipops and candy canes. Gingerbread was always  one of my favorite smells at Christmas time.

Here I layered kraft CS, the Horizon Square Boutique Stacker Frames, kraft CS again and then the Royal Scandinavian Doily to place the Gingerbread House  on.

Here is a close up of the beautifully detailed gingerbread house. I added two snowflakes layered on top of each other with bling in the center using the Snowflake Set 2. The three smaller snowflakes are from the Snowflakes set which is a square die that cuts  several different sizes and shapes of snowflakes. I use this die a lot as it give you a good variety of snowflakes using only one die.

I now invite you to join our weekly Cheery Lynn Designs challenge @http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a crafty week.

It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

A warm hello to you today.  Today I am going to follow along with the "Non Traditional Christmas Colors" challenge theme. The traditional colors are always so beautiful but I am finding the non traditional colors can make striking cards too and people receiving them  think they are beautiful also. So go out of the box and try some new colors this year.

I always liked the Christmas song "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" and thought this would be perfect to use with the Cheery Lynn Designs  Clock w/Angel Wing.  So I made that my focal point of this card. I started the base by layering the Coved Rectangle - Scalloped LG Stackers and the Coved  Rectangle-Classic LG  Stackers .  I clock design on the background was made by inking up the Clocks  Embossing  Plate with black and embossing the Coved Rectangle-Classic  LG Stackers.

I place the Clock w/Angel Wing  a bit off the side of the card and trimmed it. The sentiment was printed on the computer then cut out with the one of the Circle- Scalloped LG Stackers .

This flower arrangement was created using the Poinsettia Strip  , Poinsettia Strip  , Pine Branches  , and the Flourish #10 . For the poinsettias I spritzed them with goosebumps and then inked them with distress ink. So any where the goosebumps spray is the ink won't cover giving it the speckled effect. I then shaped them with a stylus and foam mat. Pearls were added to the center of the poinsettias.

Thanks so much for joining me today and for the comments that were left on my last post. You still have a bit of time left yet to join this weeks  Cheery Lynn Designs challenge
@ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge. I would love to see your creations. I hope everyone has a fun week creating them special Christmas cards for the special people in your lives. See you next Friday.
