What's The Scoop

A Warm Welcome to all. This weeks challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs is "Hot Time in the Summer".  I thought I would get creative and make an icecream cone using the Mesh Border and the Ambergris Tiny Doily. I folder some copy paper and hand cut the shape of a cone. I then laid that pattern on the mesh border and cut it out. I cut the borders of the leftover mesh border and put around the edge of the cone to finish it off. I cut the some of the top edge off the doily off to make the scoop of icecream.  Now how cool is that. I was very pleased the way it turned out. I embossed the background with the Clocks Embossing Plate. The Swedish Spring Oval Frame I placed behind the icecream cone. The Ivy Corner Flourish  and flowers from the Flower Chain Border are in the corner. The Horizon Fishtail Banner goes along the bottom with a few of the Mini Butterflies w Angel Wing flying around. Forest Deer

Today I am sharing with you my creation for the "Silver and/or Gold" challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs. All the dies used are from the newly released dies. I always think the velvet paper looks so elegant for Christmas cards so my base is burgundy velvet. l used the Icicle Border, Snowflake Doily w Angel WingDeer in the Forest, Dancing Snow Flurries and the snowflake from the Merry Christmas Hanger. I then used Ink- a - Gold on them to make them all a metallic gold. I would like to invite you to join this weeks challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. Go to http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge and enter your creation.

Happy Halloween

Well today is a Special day over at Cheery Lynn Designs. They have just released some awesome new dies for us all to create with. You got to go to http://www.cheerylynndesigns.com/ and check them out. I decided for todays release I would work with the new halloween dies. They are going to make a nice addition to add to my collection of  other Halloween dies from Cheery Lynn Designs. As some of you know I do scenic stamping and thought a night scene with  Happy Halloween Twiggy Wreath and the Trick or Treat Border would make a perfect Halloween scene. How cool is that trick or treat border. Gotta love it as well as the Happy Halloween twiggy wreath. Awesome Halloween dies Cheery Lynn.

Beautiful Borders

Welcome back. You got to check out this weeks " Beautiful Borders Challenge" over at Cheery Lynn Designs. I started with some script paper  then cut and popped up some brick paper to go with the Bird Bath set. I placed  the Lattice Heart Flourish in the center and added the sentiment Hello. For the border I used the beautiful Flower Chain Border. I cut three of the borders and then cut the flowers from two of them. I inked the flowers up and layered them. What beautiful cute detailed flowers they make. I cut up the Ivy Corner Flourish into sections and added a few leaves here and there among the flowers.  Come join the challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. Check out the other design team members creations for more inspiration.

I'm Sew Happy

A warm Hello to all. This weeks challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs is "In Stitches". I started by using the Coved Rectangle Stitch Nesting set and cut it in two sizes. I stacked them on a green base. The Chasing Rainbows Doily is tucked behind the one corner. The Ivy Corner Flourish along with Sweet Christine flowers were layered on the doily. The Double Scalloped Border was placed along the right side. I took a thread and needle and started stitching around the  nesting set with a few stitches and then weaved my needle into the card so I can finish stitching at a later date. LOL. I thought the needle with the thread attached was a cool touch.  The stamped sentiment was perfect for this challenge theme. OK now it is your turn. Hop on over to http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge and enter your creation for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. I would love to see your card.
