Nature's Beauty

A warm hello to you today.  I just love cards with birds on them so I was happy when CLD released another hummingbird detailed so beautifully.  Along with the new Fleur De Lis  design it makes for a elegant card.

I made a white card base and then layered the Fleur De Lis Boutique Stacker A2 Frame  in the center and the Fleur De Lis Border Set  below that.  I layered the Rectangle Stitch and Cut Tool  in the center of the Fleur De Lis Boutique Stacker A2 Frame . I also layer some of the  Fleur De Lis Border Set  along the top of the  Rectangle Stitch and Cut Tool .

This photo shows how I used the Lace Hummingbird Flourish  by cutting out the hummingbird from the die cut  and rotating the flourish part a bit. I then added the new Humming Bird  where I cut the original hummingbird out from. This follows along with the challenge theme "Add a Flourish". Flourishes are fun and always make a card more elegant.
Here I used the Cherry Blossom  and the Embellishment #2 to create the flowers. You can see how
beautifully detailed the hummingbird is when inked up. The hummingbird is absolutely gorgeous.

The top corner shows the new Fleur De Lis Tag . The round Fleur De Lis emblem in the previous photos is part of the tag die set.

Nesting Bluejay

Hi Nice to see you here. I am sharing with you today a card using just four die sets. Three  of them are new from the last release.

For this card I started with three square matts in the black and green followed by the Fleur De Lis Square Doily  The edges were inked up with distress ink. The beautiful Fern Leaf  was layered next. I used the Bird Nest And Eggs  die set to create the birds nest. There are two nests with this set and I layered on top of the other. I cut a couple of the smallest eggs and inked them blue and then splattered some brown specks on them with ink and a brush. The bird is from the Feathered Friends  set. It are four different birds in the set. I used the bluejay and inked it up.  I must say this bird nest set is pretty cool.

I invite you now to join our challenge @ for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree and possible be one of our top three picks for the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by today and for the comments you leave. They are very much appreciated.

Happy Valentine's Day

A warm hello to you.  I want to wish you all a Happy Valentine's Day and share with you my valentine card that I created.

I started with the green base cut with the Square Stitch and Cut Tool   and then layered a striped paper and then another green paper. I then popped up the Quadrafoil Square Doily   on top of the three squares. All were inked around the edges with distress inks. I then cut the Hearts and Doves Placecard #2 and used just the front of it. This place mat makes a cool tag to build on.   I backed it with red paper to show all the details and popped it up on the quadrafoil doily. .

Now the fun begins by creating a beautiful flower arrangement. I made the flowers using the Sweet Williams Strip  and the Sweet Christine . For the filler I used the Branch and the Dandelions . The tag was created using three sizes of the Tags 4  and layering them together. That it for this week. I hope you will join me again next Friday when I will share another project with you.

You may have noticed  a change in our blog challenge. They will now run Bi-Weekly and you can enter one card each week. It doubles your chances of winning. So please come and join the "Tickled Pink" challenge @ Good luck to everyone joining the challenge.

Happy Birthday

A warm hello to you.  Today I want to share a masculine card with you. It's fun to make special cards for the boys and men in our lives.

I started by making the base using the Step Card Bundle Set .  Cheery Lynn Designs has a few step card dies and they are so quick and easy to make a base with. I layered the old car and the sentiment  Happy and Birthday on the right hand side of the card.

On the taller side of the card I layered the new Windmill .  This windmill will be great for masculine cards or even placed behind flowers as I have done previously.  This was a very quick card to make with just a few dies.

I want to thank you for joining me today and for the comments you leave. Please join our challenge
@ The theme is "Tickled Pink". I would love to see what you create and you would have a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.

Have a crafty week
