Thank You

Hello everyone. This is what I came up with for the Cheery Lynn's challenge for this week with the theme "Thank You".  I went for flowers and doilies as they are both always so beautiful on a card.  I started with a beautiful flowered paper for the base and then used that same paper for the Lilith Doily /w Angel Wing and  Allison's Ribbons up the side. The English Tea Party Doily was tucked behind the Lilith Doily. I arranged the Black Eyed Susan Strip, Sweet Williams Strip and Olive Branches so that they didn't cover up the beautiful details of the Lilith Doily. I just love the details in this doily. I added the Thank & You sentiment across the top. A few pearls were added. I invite you to join the challenge at http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. I hope you have been enjoying the holiday season.  I wish you a Happy New Year and all the best for 2014.

Christmas card/w a Gift

Hi I am  back today to share with you a Gift in a card that I created for the Cheery Lynn Challenge. The theme is "Red and Green". There is always those special people in our lives that we want to give a little something to with their card. Well the way this card is created it includes a Crystal that dangles when the card is stood up. They can take the crystal off and hang on their christmas tree.   Cheery Lynn has a new product called Lutradur.  It is a fun and unique product that comes in white sheets that you can used with so many techniques. If you go to  http://www.cheerylynndesigns.com/ there is a video on it. I cut the Snowflake 2 behind the Poinsettia   with the Lutradur and colored it with my copics. I place the Holly Corner behind the poinsettia. The Pennant along the top was perfect for placing the sentiment Merry Christmas on.
I would love to see you join our challenge this week  at http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge.  Please come and join the fun for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.  Have a creative week.

Let It Snow

A warm Hello to everyone today. The new challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs is "Non-Traditional Christmas Colors" Well I think pink and aqua can be considered non- traditional. I started out with the wonderful Step Card for the Base I used the Nautical Wheeler Doily behind the main part and the center of the doily on the front corner. I layered Snowflake 5 on top of it. I used the Santa's Laundry and took the pants and long johns off the line. I then  hung the mittens and socks from the Christmas Knick Knacks set on the line. I placed the Snowflake Mesh Border along the bottom. Added the Let it Snow stamped image and place some pearls on it and on the snowflakes of the border.   This was fun changing out some of the clothing on the line giving  a whole new look to the Santa's Laundry. Please join us in this challenge for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. Also check out all the inspiration from our design team at http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/. Spring Tag

Hi to all you Cheery Lynn fans out there. This weeks challenge is "Tag Your It".  Ok I got a bit carried away making a Tag but had a lot of fun with it. We do Christmas cards in the summer so thought I would turn it around and do a spring tag in the winter.  I started with the Horizon Coved Rectangle as the tag. I then added the French Lattice Sm. The Ornamental Gate looked great in front of the lattice. I used the Ivy Corner Flourish along the top corner and place two beautiful Shasta Daisy's in front of it. The centers of the daisy's are from Embellishment #1.  For the Vase I added the Tiny Bubbles Border to the center of it. I then inked it up and added glossy accents to make it look like glass. I arranged some Baby's Breath and Wheat Heads in the vase. I used the Birds of Earth & Sky on the fence and flourish. The two cute little dragonflys are from the Tiny Things with Wings.  So pop on over to http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge and join the fun.

Fall Time

Welcome back. Today I share with you  a card that I created for the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge. "Autumn Colors" is the theme this week . I started out by  using the Chicken Wire on the base. The Sunflower and Daisy Strip made beautiful fall flowers.  I used the Orchid die for the stems and leaves on the flowers. I used Dimensional Sm  Leaves # 1 and Wheat Heads as filler along the bottom of the flowers. I then added the Clock w Angel Wing to the top right corner. I cut the clock out of thin chipboard and cut another one in pattern paper to layer on top. Well that is it for this week I hope you get out your Cheery Lynn dies and get creative for the "Fall Color Challenge". Would love to see you join and share your creations with us. By joining you have a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. Have a wonderful week creating.

Pine Grosbeak 2014 Calender

A warm hello to you today. Just wanted to share with you a  calendar that I made at "Croppin With The Chicks" scrapbooking retreat a couple of weeks ago. I started with a 12x12 Board and built up from there. I especially liked how the flower arrangement turned out on the top left. The new wheat die from Cheery Lynn Designs is a new favorite of mine. It makes for a beautiful filler. With the addition of a few feathers to go with the birds I was totally happy with the way it all came together .

Fall Harvest

Hello to all you Cheery Lynn followers out there. This weeks challenge is " Give Thanks". So today I share with you a fall harvest card using the new  Wheat Heads and the new Shuttered Window w/ Flower Box. I started with the Shuttered Window w/ Flower Box as my focal point. I then placed some wall paper behind the window  as you are looking from the outside in. One of the Owls w/ Gears sits quietly on the flower box with a couple of the Tiny Fanciful Flourishes  around him. Thinking of fall harvest and giving thanks I added a couple of Fall Pumpkins and some Wheat Heads behind them.  A few of the Dimentional Sm Leaves #1 behind and in front of the wheat heads made for a nice display in the bottom left corner. The sentiment Hello was covered with glossy accents to make it shiny and stand out a little more. These new dies are a wonderful addition to Cheery Lynn Designs. For your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree join the "Give Thanks  Challenge". You can also browse the Cheery Lynn Inspiration Blog to see some of our Design Team members wonderful creations.

Borders and Edgers

Borders and Edgers! Yes that is the theme for the Cheery Lynn challenge this week. I started by embossing my base with the Diamonds and Starburst embossing plate.
I then used the Mesh Hearts Horizonal Border placing Alison's Ribbon's along the top and placing the Sweetheart Edger along the bottom of it. It made for a beautiful strip across the center. I then mounted my image on the Oval Scalloped Stacker and the Oval Classic Stacker. A couple of flowers from the Chrysanthemum Strip and the Mini Fanciful Flourish  made a nice arrangement, The Lace Corner Deco J on the corners gives the appearance of another oval layer. Now it is your turn. Come on over to the Cheery Lynn Challenge and join for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.

Vintage Ladies

Vintage! That's the theme for this weeks challenge over at the Cheery Lynn Challenge Blog. I used Fiona's Mirror to matt the beautiful vintage ladies. I used the Ivy Corner Flourish around the bottom corner. The Shasta Daisy is the bigger flower. The Medium Rose was used for the blue flowers and Embellishments #2 for the tiny rose flowers. A few feathers added to the flower arrangement finished it off nicely.  How vintage is that! Now it is your turn. Join in the Challenge for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. Feeding The Squirrels

This is a card I created using more of the Cheery Lynn Designs newly released dies. The Snowflake Mesh Border is along the bottom and the Medium Lollipop Fringe Cutie is along the top resembling icicles. The Merry Christmas Pine and Partridge Sentiment with the critters hiding in the Wreath Strip  makes  for a nice focal point. The Birch Tree w Cute Critters was place to one side with the owl and chipmunk from the set up in the tree. The bunny and squirrel along the bottom are also from that set. The cute little girl is feeding the squirrel.  The new Baby's Breath Flower Kit was used behind the bunny. The flower to the right are from the Tiny Flower Kit. These dies are amazing to create with.

Decorated Coffin

A warm hello to all you Cheery Lynn fans out there. As promise I am going to share with you today the altered project that I mentioned in last weeks post. This is it for the Black & Orange challenge starting today.  I Started with a  unfinished wood coffin. I painted it orange and used black and orange pattern paper on the top. For the sides I used the Spider Web Mesh Border along the bottom and  the Lace Light Deco border along the top. I then did a flower arrangement on the top using the mini Fanciful Flourish, Sweet Williams Strip and the Dimensional Sm Leaves #1.  The Fall Pumpkins were added to the flower arrangement. I couldn't resist placing a skeleton inside the coffin. I hope you will join this weeks challenge for a chance to win a $20.00 store certificate. Have a crafty week.

Boo

Hi Debbie here today to share with you a cool Halloween card that I made for this weeks" Halloween Challenge" at Cheery Lynn Designs. Halloween is always so fun. I used the Mexican Tile Pattern for the aqua background. The Spider Web is tuck in behind the first two layers. All the halloween dies are from the Bundle of 7 Dies. What a great assortment of dies all in one package.  You could make all kinds of great halloween cards with just this one  set of dies. I thought putting the witches hat on the pumpkin really gave him some added character. I even gave the ghost a few eyelashes for character too.  I inked a lot of it up to really make everything pop. Please join us in this "Halloween Challenge" for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. Also check out the Inspiration Blog for more ideas from out talented design team. Keep watch back here for next week when I will share with you a very cool altered Halloween project.

Christams fairy

Sunday Again! Time to check out the new weekly challenge over at Cheery Lynn Designs. Lace is the theme.  Thinking Christmas I started the card base by embossing it with the ever so beautiful Poinsettia embossing plate. I ink it up around the edges a bit to really make the poinsettias pop. I then added the Burlap Border. The Anastasia Border I matted with a red cardstock and fussy cut it along the bottom. I mounted the Christmas fairy onto the lacy Kiwi Doily. The Colonial Lamp Post was added to the side of the card. I made the poinsettias from the Poinsettia Strip. So easy to make them with this strip die. The center of the poinsettia is from the Embellishment 2. I place the lacy looking Snowflake 2 behind the one  poinsettia. With the addition of the Holly Corner  and the Holly Lace Flourish it finished the card off nicely. I now invite you to join this weeks" Lace Challenge" for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree.  You can also just come relax and browse the blog for more ideas from our new design team .  See you next week.

Nesting Birds

Here we are back for another weekly challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs. The theme is
" Die Cut Flowers". Cheery Lynn has a awesome selection of flower dies and they are so easy to use. I started with a 6x6 designer paper . I fussy cut around the birdhouses so I could tuck the doily in behind as it was similar in shape to the blue design in the paper.   I used the Judy's Blooms and Shasta Daisy  mounted on the  Sophie's  Heart Mini doily to show how beautiful the flowers can be. With a little inking  they look just as if you had gone out and bought them. I also used the Ankara Lace Doily  and the center from the  Polynesian Sails Oval doily  as part of the background. As you can see by previous posts of mine I really love the Birds of the Earth and Sky. They are so realistic with beautiful detail on them. I used  the baby's breath twig from Embellishments #2 and  the Wreath Strip for the birds to sit on. Now it is your turn to create with the Cheery Lynn flowers. Come on over to the Cheery Lynn Challenge and enter your creation for a chance to win a $20.00 Store credit.

Winged Friends

Hello out there. There is another challenge happening this week over at Cheery Lynn Designs that I know all you fans will have fun with. It is "Things With Wings" for our challenge this week. I started with the window as my focal point.  I thought the cloud paper behind the "Window A" looked so cool. The Sophia's Heart Border is so intricate and dainty along the side. I was going to use just the dragonflies from Tiny Things With Wings but then got carried away and gave them some other winged friends like the butterfly from the Mini Butterflies with Angel Wings and  the birds from the new Birds of the Earth and Sky. With a few Mini Fanciful Flourishes and Fanciful Flourish Left  it gave me something to add flowers to as well as a resting place for the birds and the dragonfly. The flowers were from the Embellishments #2  Now it is your turn to play with "Things with Wings". Come to the Cheery Lynn Challenge and enter one of your creations for a chance to win a $20.00 Store Certificate.

Foil Art Card

Hello to all the Cheery Lynn fans out there. Have we got a fun challenge for you this week. "All About Texture" is the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge this week. I choose to use the cool new gears and clock dies to make a manly card. First I embossed foil tape with the Burble/Cheesecloth and Old Parchment texture plates. I then covered the base of my card with it. I also covered some thin chipboard with foil tape and then die cut it with the Gears Mesh Border, Gears and Clock/w Angel Wing. I placed these on top of the foil base to give some added layers. Inka Gold was applied to add metallic color and make the gears and clock  pop. I used the Oval Scalloped Lg Stackers to cut around the truck image and added three metal screws for a little extra. If you click on the card so it enlarges you can really see how nice of texture you get from the Cheery Lynn Texture Plates. This texture challenge was so fun. Come have some fun too and join the Cheery Lynn Challenge for a chance to win $20.00 free product.

Hearts a Glow Wedding Favors

Hi there. Well here I am with another weekly  project for the Cheery Lynn Challenge. The theme is "Hearts a Glow". The theme got me to thinking about weddings. So I decided to use the Scalloped Party Favor Box and worked around it. I used three different cuts from the  Heart to Heart Doily set behind the box as a background. I then added the top of the Hearts and Doves Placecard just above the box which made a beautiful design for a wedding. On the top corner of the heart I placed the Mini Fanciful Flourish along with the sentiment Love. The Two of Hearts doily was place on the front of the box and then the  easy to assemble gardenia from the Gardenia Strip. A few Coffee Eclairs in the box makes this a yummy wedding favor. How beautiful this would look on a wedding table. Please come join the fun with hearts as part of your card for a chance to win a $20.00 certificate. Would love to see your creation. That's it for this week. Be sure to check back next week for a peek at a awesome mans card.

Birds of the Earth and Sky

Hello. Here I am back this week with another step card for the Cheery Lynn Challenge with a theme of "Frame It". I am so hooked on this Step Card die that I used for the base. Can"t say enough about it. I added the Daisy Lace Frame to the center of the step card.  I place three daisies in two sizes from the Daisy Strip and some leaves behind them from the BAF #2. The new Birds of the Earth and Sky die was used to cut the three birds that are hiding in the Mini Fanciful Flourish.  These birds are really priceless if you are a bird lover like myself. Well that is it for this week. Please do stop by the Cheery Lynn Design Challenge and join the challenge for a chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree. Friendship's Fragrant Garden

Welcome back. This week the Cheery Lynn Designs challenge theme is Doilies. I used the Oval Doily Stacker One and the cute Two of Hearts doilies. I then got carried away making flowers of every hue just as the verse says. I used several flower dies including the Gardenia Strip, Black Eyed Susan Strip, Judy's Blooms, Embellishment 1, Embellishment 2, Shasta Daisy, and Cutie 1 to come up with such a nice variety of flowers. I wanted the beautiful flowers to really stand out so instead of adding  leaves this time I decided  to add just the Victorian Romance Flourish and pieces of it here and there. The butterfly is from the Sm. Exotic Butterflies #1 w/ angel wing . This was all done on a wooden wall plaque.  Please join us this week in the Cheery Lynn Designs Challenge for a chance to win a $20.00 store credit. Everyone can always use more new dies.  You may want to check out all the other inspiration by our other Design Team Members. Have a wonderful week .

Christmas Advent Calender

A warm Hello to everyone. First I really want to thank Cheery Lynn Designs for designing such awesome dies for us to create with. I have played with several of the new ones now and am so impressed. This week the Challenge theme is "Fun with Letters".  I have been wanting to try out the new Medium Matchbox Die so what better to use it for than a Advent Calendar. Cheery Lynn Designs has made the matchbox dies in small, medium and large. A nice variety of sizes. I have used six matchboxes on each side giving me a total of twenty-four . I used the Merry Christmas sentiment on the front for my letters. I have placed the Snowflake 5 on each of the other three sides with a red gem in the center.  I used the Alison's Ribbons along the bottom edge.  I did a flower arrangement on the top using the Poinsettia Strip, Gardenia StripBlack Eyed Susan Strip, Holly Lace Flourish, Holly Leaves , Rose Leaf Strip and the Snowflake 5. I know a lot of advent calendar are usually enjoyed by children but what about us chocolate lovers that are grown up. Thus why I did the flower arrangement for a grown-up chocolate lover. I invite you to join the Cheery Lynn Challenge for a chance to win a $20.00 store certificate.

Laundrys hung.Works done.

Hello Cheery Lynn Fans.  The theme for this weeks challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs is "Anything Goes". So I thought halloween would be fun. So here is my step card using some of new Halloween dies. For the base I used the new Step Card and placed the new Spider Web Mesh Border along the top. Next I layered the Chicken Wire and then the Victorian Picket Fence . The teen witch was colored with copics and is seen standing in front of the fence. The new Witchs Laundry was hung on the chicken wire. This Witches Laundry is just so priceless and really makes me smile. Especially being the cat was hung out to dry too. The Fall Pumpkins were popped up on the bottom right corner. The three small flowers on the top corner are from the  Embellishments #2. For the inside of the card I used the Happy and new Halloween sentiments and the Lace Corner Deco H.  I hope you have been inspired and will join the Cheery Lynn Designs challenge for a chance to win a $20.00 store certificate.

Fun in the Sun

Hi There.  I would like to share with you today a card that was made for the Cheery Lynn Challenge. The theme this week is "Hot Time in the Summer".  I am enjoying playing with the new dies so much. They are amazing. For this card I used two sizes of the new Horizon Square Stacker Frames. I mounted the cute image onto the smaller one using the Square Classic Lg Stackers. I took the new Fall Leaf Doily w/ Wing ( Cheery Lynn also has a border that matches it)  and cut some leaves out of the center and placed some leaves on the bottom right corner. I then cut the rest of the leaves from the inside of the fall doily and used what was left on the top left corner. A lot of Cheery Lynn dies are so versatile as you can use all or just parts of them for a totally different look.  The two suns are from the   Embellishment # 2. The tag was printed on the computer and then fussy cut by hand. The bumble bee is one of my favorites from the Tiny Things w/Wings. The bottom left embellishments were cut from the Embellishments #3 . I remember as a kid we played with pinwheels and these remind me of them. Stay tuned for next week as I will be creating with some of the new Halloween dies. Please join the fun and enter the Cheery Lynn Challenge for a chance to win a  $20.00 store credit. I would love to see your creations.

Season Of Joy

Hi Cheery Lynn Fans.  This week I had fun playing with some of the new Christmas dies and foil paper. The theme this week for the Cheery Lynn Challenge is
Silver and/or Gold.  I had picked out some 12x12 Christmas paper with gold designs on it about a month ago just for this challenge. I Started with  Horizon Coved Rectangle Stacker Frame and layered the Horizon Coved Classic  Lg on top. I embossed a Christmas verse in gold and placed the  Holly Lace Flourish and Holly Corner to the sides. The Poinsettia Strip  made the most beautiful poinsettia's cut out of foil paper.  I tucked the Ornament Christmas Tree behind the frame a bit. I cut the tree out in red and also in green foil and then cut the red and green ornaments off and added them to the black tree.  The Santa's Sleigh and Reindeer I cut three times , once in  black, gold and red foil. I then cut them apart making the sleigh and reins gold, the reindeer black and their collars red. The Winter Neighborhood Border  I cut apart and placed along the bottom on each side and used a gold pen to color the edges . The gold reindeer looked so nice that I popped one up in front of the house. The Birds of the Earth and Sky were so cute I had to add some along the bottom too. I hope I have inspired you and that you will join the challenge for a chance to win a $20.00  gift certificate. The design team came up with some stunning creations last week using the new dies. You will definitely want to check them out at http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/
