Just For You

Glad to see you here. Today I am sharing a card with flowers. To me flowers always make for a beautiful card to give to that someone special.

I started the base of this card by embossing it with the Hearts and Rose Leaves Embossing Plate .
It is always nice to have that extra texture on the base of your cards.

I then layered the Royal Scandinavian Oval Doily  to one side of the card and the Southern Charm Valance Die   at the top and bottom of the card.

The Mini Flourish One  was used as a background for the flowers and leaves.  The flowers are the Chrysanthemum Strip inked up with distress inks for color. The leaves were cut from the Build a Flower #2  and tucked in behind the flowers. A pearl was place in the center of each flower to finish them off .

I cut the sentiment "Just For You" from the Just For You Oval Die  . I then trace the outer edge of the die onto the purple paper and fussy cut it out to place behind the sentiment. The XOXOXO were placed along the bottom of the sentiment.

I would like to Thank You for visiting my blog today and for the comments you leave. I hope I have inspired you to play with some of Cheery Lynn Designs flowers. They have a huge variety of flower dies to choose from.

Happy Easter

A warm hello to you.  With Easter just over a week away I thought I would share a Easter card with you. I also want to wish you a Happy Easter.

I started by using the Step Card  as my base. I then layered the largest doily of the  Oval Doily Stacker One   stacker die set. I embossed the base of the doily with the Black Eyed Susan's Embossing Plate .

I cut the Daisy Chain Border Die  in green and then cut the flowers from it in a few different colors. I layered it around the edge of the doily. I added a couple of the Tiny Fanciful Flourish Right & Left  to the bottom corners of the step card.

Here I cut the Happy Easter  sentiment in two colors and off set them to give it a shadowed look. The  Spring Basket 1 was layered next and the Easter Bunny  then tucked into the basket. Cherry Lynn Designs does have some cute Easter dies for making Easter cards.

Thank You for visiting my blog today and for the comments you have left on my other posts. I always enjoy hearing from you. Have a crafty day my friends.

Fuchsia With Love

Glad to see you here. I hope you are having a great day. Today I am playing with the rose dies from Cheery Lynn Designs but creating fuchsia flowers with them.

It is hard to see in the photo but I embossed the base with the  Hearts and Rose Leaves Embossing Plate  . I then layer the Large Sunflower Doily  in the center of the card.

Next I cut two of the Happy Halloween Twiggy Wreath   and off set them . I added the Ivy Corner Flourish Die   behind and in front of the wreath. I then tucked in the Whistle a Happy Tune and added the Tags 4 to the corner. I colored the birds and inked up a lot of the other elements.

Now for the beautiful fuchsia. I used two of the Tea Rose medium  petals and cupped them with my stylus. I then off set and layered them together. I used the Tea Rose small for some to make smaller ones.  I used the sepal part of the Large Rose  die and curled it upwards for the top of the fuchsia . The sepals of the medium- Rose  were  used for the smaller fuchsia. A small piece of the medium- Lollipop Fringe Cutie  was used for the stamens of the fuchsia.

I always like when you can get several different uses and looks out of one die. So I was impressed when I could create fuchsia from the rose dies. How cool is that! We just really need to play with our dies and imaginations.

Thank you so much for visitingmyblog today and for all the comments you have left on my other projects. I always like to hear what you have to say. Have a crafty day my friends.
