Reindeer Fun

A warm Hello to you. Glad to see you here today.

With the cozy red plaids and deer so popular this year for Christmas decorations I thought I would create a card using both.  I have inked, distressed and layered my background. The Merry Christmas sentiment is from the  Winter Holiday Word  set. I added the snowflake from the Snowflake Set 2  set. The some holly leaves were added from the Holly Lace Flourish .

Now for this cute reindeer. I cut him out from the Reindeer Fun  set then layer different colors behind him and the trimmed him up abit.  It doesn't show in the photo but I popped him up quite a bit so he really stands out as my focal point.  Now this makes for a beautiful masculine card too.

Thanks for visiting my blog today and for all the comments you leave.
Have a great crafty day my friends.

Merry Christmas Wreath

A warm hello to you.  I am sharing this card using Cheery Lynn Designs Dies.

I wanted to create a card a bit more on the masculine side today. I did a lot of inking and distressing on the base, I then cut a stitched oval shape from the Oval Stitch and Cut tool .

I layer the Merry Christmas Pine  Partridge Sentiment  onto the oval. From the Fancy Reindeer  set I choose to use the jumping reindeer and the reindeer head to layer onto the card. This reindeer set has several dies in the set with beautiful detail as you can see. I layered a couple of holly leaves from the Holly Leaves  set. I finished them off with some glittery berries.  What a great masculine card using this reindeer set from Cheery Lynn Designs.

Thank You for visiting my blog today and for the comments you leave.
Have a crafty day my friends.

Patches the Snowman

Welcome  to the my blog.  This is a card I created for Cheery Lynn Designs.

I had some beautiful Bo Bunny paper for quite some time and when I came across it this morning I pictured CLD's  snowman and birds on it. So this is what I came up with.

This was a quick and simple card with just two die sets used. I layered a couple of birds onto the birch logs from the  Birds of Earth and Sky set.

Here is a close up of Patches the Snowman  . I really like the look I got with the snowman by cutting him out from a Snowy Christmas Tree scene that I had printed off my computer. Isn't he gorgeous. I think for being a quick and simple card that it turned out to be a beautiful rich looking card. .

Let It Snow

A warm Hello to you.  We got out first snow yesterday that has actually stayed on the ground so thought I would do a Let It Snow Card.

I have used the Square Classic - Silver Stackers  and  the Square Scalloped LG Stackers for my base. I was going for black and white but then decided to add just a touch of blue to set it off. I love the layers these stackers create.

Here I used  white paint and a tooth brush to splatter snow on black cardstock. It makes a perfect snowy  background to layer the Let It Snow  onto. This was a quick and simple card if you are short of time.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog today and for the comments you leave. Have a crafty day my friends.

Joy To The World

A warm Hello to you. It's Debbie back with you from Debbie's Time Out.Today I would like to share with you a way of using the Aspen Forest  frame from Cheery Lynn Designs as a embossing folder.

For the base of the card I used the Aspen Forest  on foil paper. To emboss it instead of cutting it I place a rubber embossing mat on top of the paper and it embosses instead of cutting. I then just added metal embossing powders  in copper, silver and gold and heat set them. I then added a bit of black ink to tone it down. What a beautifully embossed background this die made.

Here I layered the deer from the Fancy Reindeer set. The Joy To The World sentiment is one of the dies from the Joy to the World Wreath set. A piece of ribbon was layered along the bottom. This was a quick and simple  card for anyone wanting quick cards to give to that special person. I hope I have encouraged you to play with some of your dies to emboss with as well as cut with.

Thank You for visiting my blog today and for the comments you leave. They are always appreciated.

Snowman

A warm Hello to you. This is a card I made for the Cheery Lynn Designs inspirational blog.

The other day I was playing with a new Penny Black scenic stamp that I bought at a crop I was at last weekend. So this is the stamped scene that makes my background. As I was thinking about what do o for your inspiration I thought of this card I had previously stamped and thought how nice the new Cheery Lynn snowman would look in the scene.  He is absolutely perfect for this scene..

I popped  Patches the Snowman  up with foam spacers giving the card some dimension. I cut him in white and then his hat in black and then again in red for his hat band and scarf. I used some CTMH markers to add colors to all the beautiful stitching details on him.  I layered the Holly Corner  to the top corner and added some red glitter to the berries. I triple matted the card using the Rectangle Stitch and Cut tool  set . What a beautiful card stamped images and die cuts can make when using them together.

I thank you for visiting my blog today and for the comments you leave. Have a wonderful crafty day my friends.

For the blog hop today I am featuring the cutest little penguin pals that Cheery Lynn Designs just released. Just look at all the detail in them three penguin pals! They are just too cute and will make you smile.

This is a Z Fold  card base so the center of this card makes a box giving me four different layers and lots of dimension.

The Royal Scandinavian Oval Doily  was perfect for the printed sentiment.  I fussy cut some snowbanks and glittered them up. I layered some cracked ice in the left corner to place the penguin with skates on. To the center I layered another penguin and the trees from the Camping Set   set as well as  the houses from the Winter Neighborhood Border . To the right side I layered the Ornament Christmas Tree  and colored and glittered it up then layering another penguin in front of the tree. I strung the Christmas Lights Swag along the top and then layered the Icicles Border   in  front of them. Again adding glitter to both the lights and icicles. I layered some of the snowflakes on the very back from the Snowflakes 20 Piece Set  and added glitter to them. Last I layered the Vintage Bracket Shape  in front of the middle penguin with BRR printed on it.

This card folds down flat and is a nice interactive card when you open it up and all the trees,  houses, Christmas tree and another penguin appears.

I hope you get a chance to play with these penguins and the other Christmas/winter dies from Cheery Lynn Designs. Have a wonderful crafty day my friends.

Happy Halloween

A warm Hello to you. Glad to see you here.  We are into October so thought I would play with some of Cheery Lynn Designs Halloween dies. This would make a nice cover page for a 8x8 mini album.

I started by using some black Halloween  paper with spider webs om it and matting it with green paper.

I used the new Happy Haunts  die set  for the sentiment and the Spiderweb Die   for the top corner. The witches hat and boots are from the  Witch's Laundry  set.

The Twisted Tree  is one of the new dies just released. I hung some of the Witch's Laundry   in twisted tree as well as a ghost.  I have always like the Home Sweet Home Die  and so I layered it on the bottom corner.

I hope you have some time to play with the Halloween dies. Halloween layouts and cards are always fun to make and they do make people smile.

Happy Turkey Day

Hello to all my crafty friends.  Here in Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving this coming weekend so I thought I would share a Thanksgiving card with you today.

I started my card with a piece of patterned paper that already had different patterns and colors as well as pumpkins and ric rac designs on it.

I sat the turkey from the Happy Turkey Day  on top of the pumpkins.  This turkey always makes me smile with his sign " Eat Beef ".  And he is cute too.  The sentiment Happy Turkey Day is from this same set. I then tucked in some of the vines from the Fall Pumpkin Patch  set around the top of the pumpkins.

In the top corner I layered part of the Dusty Miller Square  and  then layered several the leaves cut from the vines of  the Fall Pumpkin Patch  set.

Here is a photo showing all the different die cuts I used to create this card front.

Just for fun if you check out my last post you will notice I used the same paper and two of the same dies for the card I posted last time and for this card. One is a Halloween theme  and one is a Thanksgiving theme. These Cheery Lynn Design  dies are always so versatile.

Thanks so much for checking out my blog today and for the comments you leave. It is always nice to hear what you have to say. Have a wonderful day my crafty friends.

I Need Coffee

A warm Hello to you. Nice to see you here. Here is another card I am sharing that I created for Cheery Lynn Designs. With October just around the corner I thought I would have a little Halloween fun.  So I designed this Halloween card.

I started with a piece if halloween printed paper as my base and matted it in grey and black.

I love the coffee cup from the last release and I wanted to incorporate it into a Halloween card. I thought the sentiment " Hocus Pocus I need coffee to Focus" was perfect for the cup sleeve. And then there is the  bottle off sugar and scream for the coffee.

I placed the Dusty Miller Square  near the top of the card and added a button to the center of it.  I then layered the Witch Hat  and the coffee cup from the Brew Can Do It   set.  I layered flourishes from the  Fall Pumpkin Patch   set for the top corners and a bit tucked behind the hat.

Here I cut both Bottles and printed sugar on one and scream on the other one. Again I tucked in a couple more flourishes. The cat is one of three from the Friendly Felines  set.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing this card as much as I enjoyed making it to share with you. If you haven't seen the new Halloween dies that were just release then you should check them out. There are some nice ones.

Please leave a comment and have a wonderful crafty day my friends..

Merry Christmoose

A warm hello to you. It's Debbie from Debbie's Time Out hosting the blog today.

Today I an featuring the Merry Christmoose set from the new release.

I started with a woodgrain background and matted in in black and red. I used a lighter woodgrain in the center so the moose would show up better. I place the Holly Corner  at the top corner.

Here I have cut several layers of the wreath from the Joy to the World Wreath   and layered them one on top of the other to create a full wreath. I layered some of the holly leaves from the Holly Leaves  die. I cut the Tiny Bubbles Border in red and used some of the negative circles for the berries. The Merry Christmoose sentiment was cut from plaid paper to match the moose's scarf and then I coated it with glossy accents.

Now for the moose from the Merry Christmoose set. Isn't he just too cute. He looks like such a happy moose and makes me smile when I look at him. I cut his body parts from a paper that looks like animal hair. I used woodgrain paper to cut his antlers from. His scarf was cut from the same plaid as the sentiment. Depending what papers you cut this moose from you would get a lot of different looks.

Thanks for dropping by the blog today. Please take a minute and leave a comment or tell me what you think of this new die set. I think it would be great for Christmas cards, mens birthday cards, little boy cards or maybe even a baby card done in the right colors.
Have a wonderful crafty day my friends.

Coffee Friends

A warm hello to you. It's Debbie from Debbie's Time Out with you today.

Today I am featuring another die set from the new release called Brew Can Do It .

I have used my favorite color aqua for my background and matted it with beige and then a wider matt in a beautiful flowered paper.

I layered  the  Swedish Spring Oval Frame  in the center of the card. I printed this sentiment from my computer and the place the  Pierced Stacker  die over it and cut it out. I tucked one cup behind the stacker and the other one on top of the stacker.

Here is a closer look at the cup. I just can't get over how realistic looking it is. I cut the cup sleeve from some corrugated paper which really looks cool.

Thanks for checking out the blog. I hope I have inspired you to make a few cards.
Have a wonderful crafty day my friends.

Antique Phonograph

Hi  I am going to share another card I did using a couple more dies from the new vintage release from Cheery Lynn Designs. I am featuring the Phonograph  and the  Distressed Honeycomb  which  are both from the new vintage collection.

For the card base I matted this beautiful lined  paper with roses onto black cardstock. The paper even has a few music notes on it so it was perfect to use with this phonograph. I layered the Distressed Honeycomb  to  the backgrouns. I also cut a extra Distressed Honeycomb and used it as a stencil to ink that pattern to the background as well.

Just look at the detail on this Phonograph  I cut it out of a few different colors and then layered accordingly to get the look I wanted.

Here I layered the Notes #1 and the Thank You  to the top corner.

This is the Whistle a Happy Tune  in gold. I just glued it in a couple of places so it curved and gave it added dimension

I thank you for visiting my blog today and hope I have inspired you to try out some of the new vintage dies. I just love this whole collection. Please take the time to leave a comment and tell me what you think.  Comments are always appreciated. Have a wonderful crafty day my friends.

You Have Me In Stitches

I am  featuring some of the new vintage release dies on this card that were just release by Cheery Lynn Designs. If you have not seen this new vintage release you must check it out. It is a amazing release.

I started with a beautiful pattern paper for my base and matted it in black as I wanted to give a chalk board look to my card. By cutting all the dies in black and using the oxide inks for the sentiments I think I accomplished the chalkboard look very well. A few buttons were added for embellishments to go with the theme.

Well I just love this new dress form set. Antique Dress Forms . You get three different dress forms in the set and this was my favorite of the three so chose this one for my project today. You can see the beautiful detail in it and all I did was add a flower and some silver outline stickers.

This is the Flourish Frame . I cut it in black and then used oxide inks to stamp the sentiment and flowers and to also ink the flourish areas around the edge.

This is one of a set of three of the new  Weathered Scrolls   that I stamped the sentiment onto.

I hope I have inspired you to play with some vintage dies. Thanks so much for visiting my blog and for the comments you leave.
