Just For You

Hello   Today I am doing a quick and simple card for you. 

For a quick card it helps to used a pretty paper for the background to build on. In this case it gave me come beautiful flowers and color to perch the bird on. 

Here I have just cut a bigger oval from the background and then cut a smaller oval from the  Oval Stitch and Cut tool set. I really like the difference the stitching makes around the oval. Then the sentiment Just For You Oval  fit perfectly in the center.

The bird perched in the flowers and on the sentiment are from the Birds of Earth and Sky  set. The butterfly is from the  Tiny Things with Wings  set. So when you need a card quickly this type of card is quick and easy to create.

It's a Boy

A warm hello to you.  I am sharing a card  I created using some of the dies from Cheery Lynn Designs last release which was the "Bohemian Collection".

Now isn't this a fabulous sun and moon perfect for a baby card. And such detail.  And all the pieces that lift out to give them added dimension. Got to love these ones.

I cut the Bohemian Sun  from some speckled paper and inked it up a bit. As simple as that and it was ready to layer onto the card. Along the bottom I layered the  Anastasia Border  which gives it a nice lacey look.

This moon is one of the dies from the  Hippie Heroine  set. Again just a little ink and it is done ready to layer. Notice the leaves on this one and the sun that pop out for the added dimension

Here I have used the Pierced Banners  to layer the  It's a Boy  onto. This die set also comes with the sentiment Girl to so you can change it to "It's a Girl".

Graduation

With graduations just around the corner I thought I would be a good opportunity to share a graduation card with you .

To start I matted this black and white graduation paper onto white cardstock for my base. Being photos are such a huge part of graduation I used the Film Strip Border Die at a angle across the card front.

The Graduation Set 2 Piece Die Set  is a beautiful and perfect die set for grad cards. I cut them in white and burgundy for I could make part of the tassel and the ribbon in a different color. I then layered them onto the film strip.  What awesome detail this set has and the distress ink really make the details stand out.
