New Release July 2015

 

A warm hello to all. Today Cheery Lynn Designs has released an great assortment of new dies. You will want to check them out @ http://www.cheerylynndesigns.com/. I created this card using a couple of the new dies. I started the card using a pattern paper and layering the Burlap Border  up the left hand side. Next I layered one of the  Horizon French Flair Boutique Stacker Frames . The New Penny Piggy  was placed as a focal point. Two layers of the Grass Border 2 are stacked along the bottom. Two of the chicks from the (Chicks set of 3) were added to keep Penny Piggy company. The Leafy Flourish  was added for more greenery and flowers. The sentiment Live and Love were cut from the Live Laugh Love  and placed along the top. Check out all the other Design Team members creations using the new dies

July12 th White on White

Hi I am back with another challenge for Cheery Lynn Designs. The theme is "White on White. I started by embossing  the Lace Square Heart with the Wood Grain  and matting it onto white cardstock. Next I cut a piece of white cardstock with the Square - Scalloped LG Stackers  and layered the Sweetheart Frame  on top. I then layer these two matted layers together. The Fancy Bird House  was layered next followed by the Pierced Banners  and dove from the Feathered Friends. The Paris Signs 1 was added to the top corner after printing a sentiment on it. A black gem was added for the eye of the dove and a bit of bling to make it sparkle.  I think this white on white gives a really elegant look to this card. July 5th In Stitches

Hello The challenge this week at Cheery Lynn Designs is "In Stitches". I used the new A2 Fancy Step Card Kit  for the base. I place white paper behind the scroll pattern. I layered one of the Pierced Stacker #3 to the back, then layered the Royal Scandinavian Tag 2  to the center of it. The sentiments and needle and thread where stamped on.  The  white flourish along the bottom at the back and the flourish in the corner and at the top where from the A2 Fancy Step Card Kit. The colored flower flourishes where from the Step Card Bundle Set #4 . I hope you will come join our challenge

June 28th Christmas in July

A warm hello to you. This week at Cheery Lynn Designs is the "Christmas in July" challenge. I decided to do a step card with the new Step Card Bundle Set #4. After cutting it out I embossed it with the Snowflake Flurries . I just love this embossing folder for Christmas and winter cards. On the left side of the card I layered the  Snowflake Doily w/Angel Wing, Poinsettia 2 and then tucked the leaves off the Holly Corner and branches from the Wreath Strip in behind.  I added the flower flourish from the Step Card Bundle Set #4 on the bottom left. Merry Christmas Set  was layered on the right side at the back. The Deer in the Forest  set was cut and layered at the front. A piece of the Icicles Border was place along the top of the sentiment. Some glitter here and there and bling in the middle of the snowflakes finished this card off nicely. Anything Goes

A warm Hello to you.  "Anything Goes is the challenge theme at Cheery Lynn Designs this week".  I used one of my favorite stamps and colored her with copics. I matted her onto the Celtic Chain Rectangle  and then matted again with two more colors. I layered the Victorian Romance Flourish in the top corner and then layered the center from the Nautical Wheeler Doily. The Flourish Leaf Strip  cut the leaf flourishes and then I place the flower from the Daisy Strip . The center of the flower was cut from the Embellishment #1 . Keep it Krafty

Hello to all. This weeks challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs is " Keep It Krafty" I always like the results when I use kraft paper. I have a couple of grandkids graduating this year and I had previously purchased the new Graduation die set from Cheery Lynn Designs. So here is my creation using this dies set. I starts with the Coved Rectangle - Scalloped LG Stackers in kraft for the base followed with the Coved Rectangle Stitch Nesting Set  in black. I then layered the Pierced Stacker #4 with the sentiment typed on it. I tucked two different sizes of the Horizon Fishtail Banners behind the pierced stacker. I popped the Certificate and hat up from the Graduation Set and added the  Graduation sentiment along the top. I used the Paris Signs 2 for the corners. I cut it out and then trimmed one edge off to make beautiful corners. The tiny flourish under the sentiment is one of the cut outs from the cowboy boot from the Arizona Cowboy set. A bit of bling and it was finished. I have to say these graduation dies really make a beautiful grad card. Please come join our challenge

Creative Corners

Hello This weeks challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs is "Creative Corners".  I decided to create a sympathy card for the challenge. I embossed my base with the Dotted Swiss  embossing plate and used the reverse side for a different look. I then cut the fancy edge with the Curved Border Set .  I added the Royal Scandinavian Oval Doily which is so elegant. I left the smaller doily in white and inked here and there on the bigger doily to give it a variegated look instead of inking it solid. I layered  the butterfly from the Tiny Things with Wings  set on the doily. The Royal Scandinavian Tag 1 was placed near the top and the sentiment Sympathy was layered onto it as well as the hummingbird from the Tiny Things with Wings  set. The corners that are part of the Royal Scandinavian Tag 1 set were place on the two corners of the card. Some bling finished the card off nicely. Red, White and Blue

Hello everyone. This weeks challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs is "Red, White and Blue". I started with a red sparkly cardstock for my base.  I die cut the French Flair - Scalloped LG Stackers Nesting Dies  and then embossed it with the Diamonds and starburst . I distressed this layer with a light blue ink to make the embossing pop. I then layered the Dutch Daisy Square Doily cut from blue cardstock. I matted the cute bird image with some of the red sparkly cardstock and layer it on top. I then added a heart tab from the new Page Tabs  set. May 24 Anything Goes

 

A warm hello to you. This weeks challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs is "Anything Goes". I started with a pattern paper that had banners and button in the design. I cut along where the banners hung between the buttons and tucked the  Deutschland Boutique Stacker in behind the banners. I placed a white matt behind the Deutschland Boutique Stacker  and a stamped image on top giving me three layers. The Nautical Wheeler Doily  was place behind the white matting. The Build a Flower #2, Chrysanthemum Strip , Mini Fanciful Flourish Right  and Embellishment #2 where used for the flower arrangement in the top corner.  I invite you to come and join our challenge

Make It Manly

Hello "Make it Manly". That is this weeks challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs. I always enjoy making manly card for them special guys in our lives. And of course I love the Arizona Cowboy set which goes perfectly for manly cards. I started with chocolate cardstock and then a layer of kraft cardstock. I then layered the Deutschland Boutique Stacker A2 Frame . I popped up the boots and cowboy hat from the Arizona Cowboy set. I  hung the horse shoe over the frame also from the Arizona Cowboy set. The  new Paris Signs 3  matches the frame nicely so I placed it on the top corner and printed the "Double "S" Ranch" on the sign. Two strands of  Barbed Wire are layered across the bottom corner.  I hope you can find the time to join our challenge
