New Doily Designs

Glad you dropped by. This is the card I made for the Cheery Lynn Designs "Borders and Edgers " challenge. I embossed the base with the Snowflake Flurries embossing plate. I layered the Snowflake Mesh Border on blue cardstock and placed it up the side. I then featured the Mirror Mirror Doily Frame as my focal point. This is one of the new doily sets and has three dies in the set. The big frame is one of the dies. The blue center is a second one from the set and the one that Merry Christmas is layered on is the third die in the set. These doilies are so versatile now with them having two or three dies in the set depending which one you buy. They are really easy to mix and match the the smaller dies make perfect tiny doilies. The small center doily with the pearl in the middle of it is  the small die from the Dutch Daisy Doily set.  Hope you can find some time to enter our challenge @  http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree @ Cheery Lynn Designs. I would love to see your creations.

Vintage Chistmas

A Warm Hello to everyone today. We have a new challenge at Cheery Lynn Designs happening. The theme is "Vintage". So here is a vintage Christmas card . The base was embossed with the Snowflake Flurries.  I layered  the Veinna Waltz Circle Stackers with the Dutch Daisy Doily. I used the Joy To The World Wreath die to go around the edge of the Vienna Waltz stacker and the joy to the world sentiment from it in the top corner. The image was then placed in the center. Icicles Border was place along the top. The French Lattice Small was torn and place in  the bottom left corner in front of the Colonial Lamp Post. Three poinsettias from the Poinsettia Strip were layer on the doily. A couple of Holly Corners were tucked in behind the poinsettias. A bit of glitter was added to the icicles and wreath branches. These dies did make a beautiful vintage Christmas card.

All Hung Out To Dry

What an exciting day at Cheery  Lynn Designs. They have just release some new dies today. You may want to check them out @http://www.cheerylynndesigns.com/new-releases/.  I have chosen three of the new dies to work with on this card which are Arizona Cowboy, Deutchland Doily and Say What. I started with the Wood Grain embossing plate for my card base. I inked the Wood Grain plate with black ink and then placed grey paper down on it and embossed it. Wow talk about nice texture. I heat embossed the Barbed Wire and hung the beautifully detailed boots and hat on it from the new Arizona Cowboy set.  The Deutchland Doily was place in the bottom right corner with the cowboy image layered onto it. I printed the sentiment on the Old Barn Board and  Howdy was printed on one the Say What shapes. The Hinges were added to both of them. The scroll designs on the sentiments were from the cut out pieces of the boot designs. A couple of horseshoes from the Arizona Cowboy set were heat embossed and hung on the card. The Cattails and Reeds finished the bottom left corner off nicely. Be sure to check out the other creations from out design team using the new dies @  http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/

Happy Halloween

"Orange & Black". That is the challenge theme at Cheery Lynn Designs this week. I started with a black base.  I die cut the Spiderweb and layered it on a orange background. I did the same with the Spiderweb Mesh Border along the bottom. I layered the cute image on top of the two o them. One of the  pumpkins from the Fall Pumpkins sits on the border. The bird from the Happy Halloween Twiggy Wreath sits in front of the pumpkin. To the top right corner I added a piece of the Spiderweb Mesh Border that I fussy cut out from the border. The sentiment happy halloween was cut from the Happy Halloween Twiggy Wreath. The bats and cat are from the Bundle of 7 Dies. Well that is it for this week. Please come and join our challenge for your chance to win a $20.00 shopping spree @ http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/search/label/challenge

Mixed Media Halloween

Nice to see you here. We have a fun week at Cheery Lynn Designs for our weekly challenge.  "Halloween" is the theme. Thought I would try a little mixed media. So I arranged several dies cuts  on the canvas including Spiderweb, Spider Web Mesh Border , Witch's Laundry and the Burlap Border. I then place a couple of the Spooky Trees and the Happy Halloween set along the bottom. I used some distress ink to color some gauze to give it some dimension. If you notice the bottom left hand corner I used the new die Trick Or Treat to add some little people in their costumes. They are priceless. A few spiders here and there embellished it nicely. Do you want to have a little fun with the Halloween theme?
